How and when you get paid

One clear timeline, from an accepted quote to money in your account. You keep 100% of what you quote, plus any tier bonus — no platform fee is ever deducted from your payout.

  1. Your quote is accepted

When a buyer accepts your quote, GoFindPart secures payment from the buyer up front and holds it. Your order is confirmed and the buyer’s payment is locked in before you fulfil — you are never shipping on a promise to pay.

  2. GoFindPart buys at your price — nothing is cut

GoFindPart is the merchant of record: it buys the part from you at your quoted price plus any tier bonus, and resells it to the buyer. GoFindPart’s margin sits inside the price the buyer pays — it is never deducted from your payout. You receive 100% of your quote, plus any bonus you earn. Delivery and any admin markup sit entirely on the buyer’s side.

  3. You fulfil and capture proof of delivery

A proof-of-delivery record is required on every handover, regardless of order value. For a buyer collection you scan the buyer’s QR code and a photo must be taken before the handover confirms; courier deliveries carry the carrier’s own capture. This is the trigger — until the handover is proven, the payout clock cannot start.

    How proof of delivery works
  4. The buyer confirms — or it auto-accepts after 48 hours

Once delivered, the buyer has a 48-hour window to confirm receipt or report a problem. If they take no action, the order auto-accepts after 48 hours and moves toward payout under the agreed terms.

  5. Your tier’s protection hold

After acceptance, the payment is held for a short, tier-based protection period before it is released — a base of 48 hours for the top tiers, longer for newer and lower-rated sellers. Climbing the tier ladder shortens this hold.

  6. You get paid out

At the end of the hold, GoFindPart releases the funds to your connected payout account. Standard payout is T+2 working days at no cost; an optional instant payout is available on request, with an instant-payout fee (charged by the payment provider, not GoFindPart) deducted from the amount. Verification must be complete — unverified accounts cannot receive payouts.

Your quote is your payout

There are no standard seller fees. No signup, listing, monthly or per-quote charges; card processing is absorbed by GoFindPart. Because GoFindPart buys from you at your quoted price and resells to the buyer, the platform margin lives inside the buyer’s price and is never taken out of what you receive. Any tier bonus is added on top — see the worked payout receipt for the exact figures on a sample order.

Proof of delivery is the payout trigger

Proof of delivery is not paperwork you can skip — it is the event that starts everything downstream. A proof-of-delivery record is required on every handover, on every order, regardless of value. For a buyer collection you scan the buyer’s QR code, the camera opens, and a photo must be taken before the collection will confirm. For courier deliveries, GoFindPart captures whatever proof the carrier provides.

The field kit works offline, too — a dead-signal loading bay doesn’t block the handover. The photo and scan queue on the device and sync the moment you’re back on network.

Until that handover is proven, the buyer’s confirmation window can’t open and the payout clock can’t start. Capturing a clean POD is therefore directly in your interest twice over: it moves the order toward getting you paid, and it is your strongest evidence if a buyer later disputes receipt.

How you are invoiced: self-billing (RCTIs)

You will notice you never raise an invoice yourself — one appears in your account, already correct. That is self-billing, and the document is a Recipient-Created Tax Invoice (RCTI). Because GoFindPart is buying the part from you, GoFindPart raises the matching invoice on your behalf rather than making you re-issue a figure it has already calculated to the penny. You authorise this once, when you onboard.

  • You don’t raise your own VAT invoices for platform sales — the self-billed invoice is the valid VAT invoice for both sides.
  • These self-billed invoices are your sales invoices for VAT — keep them for your records.
  • VAT-registered: the invoice shows the VAT reverse-calculated at 20%. Not VAT-registered: the sale is outside the scope of VAT, with no VAT line.
  • Your invoices live in the app as read-only PDFs, with Go Find Part Limited as the counterparty — never the buyer’s identity.
  • Tell GoFindPart within 14 days of any change to your VAT status, number, name or address.

It is a long-established, HMRC-recognised arrangement (Notice 700/62). For the full explanation, read self-billing and RCTIs explained.

Getting paid: common questions

Does GoFindPart take a cut of my quote?

No. You receive 100% of your quoted price plus any tier bonus. GoFindPart is the merchant of record — it buys the part from you at your price and resells it to the buyer, so its margin sits inside the buyer’s price and is never deducted from your payout.

When exactly do I get paid?

After the buyer confirms receipt (or the order auto-accepts 48 hours after delivery), your payment is held for a tier-based protection period — a base of 48 hours at the top tiers, longer for newer sellers — then released to your connected payout account. Standard payout is T+2 working days at no cost; an optional instant payout is available on request, with an instant-payout fee (charged by the payment provider, not GoFindPart) deducted from the amount.

Why does proof of delivery matter to my payout?

Because the confirmed handover is what starts the payout clock. A proof-of-delivery record is required on every handover — a mandatory photo on buyer collections, the carrier’s capture on courier legs — and a collection cannot confirm until it exists. No confirmed handover means no confirmation window and no payout.

Do I raise the invoice, or does GoFindPart?

GoFindPart does. Because it buys the part from you, it issues a self-billed invoice (a Recipient-Created Tax Invoice, or RCTI) on your behalf for every completed sale — you agree to this once, at onboarding. You do not raise your own VAT invoices for platform sales; the self-billed invoice is your sales invoice for VAT.

How is VAT handled on my payout?

If you are VAT-registered, your self-billed invoice shows the VAT reverse-calculated at the standard 20% rate — your cash position is unchanged. If you are not VAT-registered, your sale is outside the scope of VAT and the invoice has no VAT line. Tell GoFindPart within 14 days if your VAT status changes.
